The British Locomotive Database
Forms: LocoTrack is managed by user friendly forms, which you can use to view data,
to add new data or to change data. You can also view data as a spreadsheet and print
Forms are the way you use LocoTrack. There are a variety of Forms to suit each category of stock and to manage all the data.
Forms are best explained by viewing the examples below.
Click on the Forms to view them.
The Main Menu Form and the Forms within each category, look

Locomotives, DMUs and EMUs have similar working Forms, examples of these are shown below:
Haulage Summary - gives an overview of all Haulage and LocoTrack will sum haulage in total, or by date, or by loco, or by class,
etc, depending on filter.
Core Data, built into LocoTrack contains Historical Data and TOPS Data.
The Historical Data contains numbers, number changes, classes, etc., since 1948.
The TOPS Data contains current details on liveries, allocations, Pool codes, etc
All this data can be modified on these Forms, but is locked to prevent overwriting
on other Forms
Coaches and Non Passenger Stock
- are in simpler databases where you can record sightings,
locations, haulage etc, for the individual vehicle.
Coaches can also be viewed as Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 and Mk4.
Non passenger stock is listed separately.
Wagons
- are divided into UK Wagons and International Wagons running in the UK.
Over 40,000 wagons are listed, some now withdrawn.
Sightings, locations, dates, etc., fields are available on the main Forms
and there is also a facility to add multiple sightings and view them in a
summary form.
